Happy 4th of July!

We had so much fun on the 4th of July. It's our tradition to spend the evening at the Fort Worth Boat Club (aka "the boat club") to watch the fireworks over the water. We lay out a blanket on the lawn and have ourselves a real live little picnic in front of the water. Around 9/9:30pm, they start the fireworks off of a barge from the middle of the lake. We always have an awesome spot, and can just lay down and see the fireworks over our heads. I look forward to it every year!

Last year, I was only 4 days away from delivering Kaylee. We were all nervous I would go into labor or a firework would scare Kaylee right out of me. haha... luckily, we had an OBGYN sitting right behind us... and Kaylee stayed put for a few more days!

It wouldn't be a picnic without goldfish. I am having a hard time learning to SHARE my goldfish, so Kaylee had her own bag of Baby Goldfish. They are the perfect size.

Chad and Katy got to come with us. We really miss hanging out with them.
We are lucky to have them as friends :) Good people these two!
(well, Chad is borderline... hehe jk)

This year, it was most fun to watch Kaylee ooh and ahh over the fireworks.
She actually did "ooh" and "ahh" a few times, it was so cute.
And she got so excited to point at each firework.

The best was when she would clap for the fireworks. She would then bounce up and down and look back at us like, "did you see it? did you see it too?!"
